I was honoured to be featured on BBC Radio 4’s Pick of the Week in 2023, following a deeply personal moment I experienced at the site of the Sycamore Gap Tree.
Shortly after the beloved tree was tragically felled, I visited the site — a place that had long stood as a symbol of natural beauty and quiet strength along Hadrian’s Wall. Moved by the loss, I stood beside the stump and played a lament, offering a musical farewell to a tree that meant so much to so many.

I’m usually allergic to game pages that try way too hard, but this one felt pretty chill. I skimmed for like 20 seconds and already knew what the game was about without digging through a wall of text. Somewhere in the middle I clicked into The Drift Boss and it kept that same straightforward vibe—clean, quick, and not trying to distract you with a bunch of junk.
