"Sgrìoban Dìomhair (Mystic Trails)" is a personal journey through sound and landscape, inspired by the raw beauty of the Scottish Highlands and Islands. During a creative residency, I wandered remote paths, recorded the sounds of nature, and let those experiences shape each composition. The album blends cello solo and field recordings—ocean, wind, wild animals—into a series of sonic postcards. Each piece reflects a moment of stillness, awe, or discovery. Sgrìoban Dìomhair is my tribute to the quiet, mystical connection between music and place. I hope it invites you to listen more deeply—to nature, and to yourself.
